Here in Gubbhögen, about 85 km into the race, a wilderness checkpoint has been set up so the dog team can stop for a while and have a rest before continuing towards the second checkpoint, which is 35 km away, at Norråker Park. As only water and straw are provided at the wilderness checkpoint and handlers are not allowed to be there and bring any depot bag, the mushers have to carry with them all other equipment necessary for that stop.

The first teams are expected to get there around 21.30, at the earliest.
