This year’s Amundsen kicks off with opening ceremony in the Strömsunds Church!

The opening of the Amundsen Race will be held in Ströms Church on Thursday, February 19 at 6:45 p.m. and is open to the public.
The start will be at the local community center in Strömsund on Saturday, February 20 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. During the competition days, popular spectator locations include Lövberga, Norråker and Tåsjöberget (Fjällsikten).

Friday to Sunday, February 20–22, Strömsund Municipality will be filled with speed, excitement and international winter fun during the Amundsen Race sled dog competition. We are pleased to welcome drivers and dog teams from 13 countries to us for one of the Nordic countries’ most appreciated long-distance competitions.
