In 2027, Amundsen Race will host the WSA Long Distance World Championship, which will be held within the AR250.
The familiar AR180 and AR350 will of course also be there.

No.

Amundsen Race remains Amundsen Race and is open to all teams, just as always.
The WSA World Championship is a competition for eligible purebred teams within the AR250.

Other teams and even PB teams can still enter and race AR250 as usual.

There will be the normal Amundsen Race overall classification, just as usual.
Within the AR250 there will additionally be the WSA World Championship classifications for eligible WSA teams.

So: one Amundsen Race, with the World Championship taking place within it.

Not yet.

Submitting the form alone does not confirm your place.
Your registration is accepted and your name is added to the official participant list after Amundsen Race has received your entry fee.
So if you want to see your name on that list: don’t forget the payment.

Absolutely, as always. We can stretch a bit this year for the WC but Amundsen is not getting infinitely bigger.

We need enough space at the start and checkpoints, we want to keep good control over the race, and, well... Amundsen can stay a little exclusive.

A waiting list will be established when there are more than:

20 teams in AR180
40 teams in AR250/AR350

We reserve the right to make adjustments to enable as many participants as possible to start.

We start a waiting list. If a place becomes available, it will be offered according to our waiting-list rules.
For all details about the waiting list, payment and refunds, check the Sign-Up page.

We reserve the right to make adjustments to enable as many participants as possible to start.
