Wilderness Checkpoint Västra Ormsjö, about 30 km before the finish of the AR250 / AR350

This checkpoint can be used to break the long run to the finish line (AR250/AR350). There is no time in and time out registration. So if you rest in the checkpoint it is calculated as runtime in the time registration.

No Depot, No Time Registration in/out off the checkpoint and NO dropped dogs

Straw and water is available. You can NOT drop a dog and hand it over to your handler as there is no check-in and check-out time keeping at this checkpoint.

Handlers can stay/warm-up at the coffee corner in ICA Nära Ormsjödalen about 1 km walk from the checkpoint. You can get coffee etc. but you have to pay cash (SEK) or swish. Be fair and pay what you take 🙂 there is nobody behind the counter as it’s a great gesture from ICA Nära Ormsjödalen to open it during the night!

Handlers can not go into the checkpoint. The musher is responsible at all times for the team in the checkpoint.

The musher has to clean-up the aera. Consult with the checkpoint volunteers to see if everything is okay. Not doing this (or not good) will result in a time penalty.
